Step 1 — Cancel ChatGPT Plus
- Open ChatGPT → click your profile → Settings → Subscription → Manage my subscription.
- Select 'Cancel plan' in the Stripe portal that opens.
- Cancellation is effective at the end of the current cycle.
Step 2 — Request the refund
- Open help.openai.com → click the chat bubble in the bottom right.
- Select 'Billing' → 'Refund request' and provide the charge date and ID.
- Cite low usage if applicable. Refunds settle to the original card in 5–10 business days.
