Everything people ask about the extension.

Twelve canonical answers about RefundFlow's Chrome extension β€” pricing, privacy, browsers, reminder cadence, and how it compares to bank-linking apps like Rocket Money and Trim.

What is the RefundFlow Chrome extension?

A free Chrome extension that saves every subscription locally in your browser and emails you before each one renews. Built to prevent forgotten charges on Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT, Notion, Adobe, and any other recurring billing.

Is it really free?

Yes. Subscription tracking, the renewal calendar, and email reminders are free with no account required. Paid refund recovery exists on pandaentry.com if you want to claim back charges you already missed β€” the extension itself is free forever.

Do you store my subscription data on a server?

No by default. Subscriptions are saved in your browser's chrome.storage. If you opt into email reminders, we sync only the renewal date and a label β€” never card numbers, merchant credentials, or transaction amounts.

How is it different from Rocket Money or Trim?

Rocket Money and Trim require bank linking (via Plaid) and charge for premium features. RefundFlow does not link to your bank, stores data locally, and is free. The trade-off: we don't budget or negotiate bills β€” we just track subscriptions and remind you before renewals.

Which browsers does it support?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera, and any other Chromium-based browser. The Chrome Web Store install works on all of them.

How many days before renewal does it remind me?

Three reminder emails: 3 days before, 1 day before, and the morning of the renewal. The 3-day reminder is the one that actually changes behaviour.

Can it cancel subscriptions for me?

No β€” the cancel still has to happen inside your own account on the merchant's site. The extension reminds you in time and links to the exact cancel page, but you press the final button.

Does it work for annual subscriptions?

Yes. Annual plans are where the extension delivers the most value β€” they only bill once a year, so they're the easiest to forget. Set the reminder 14 days before renewal for annual plans to leave a refund window if you decide to cancel.

What if I already got charged for something I forgot?

Use pandaentry.com β€” upload your statement, RefundFlow finds the charge and helps draft a refund request. Average successfully refunded amount is $80–$140 per session.

Is the code open source?

Not today. The extension does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs. Permissions: storage (save subs locally) and host access to the active merchant page (prefill the form). Nothing else.

How do I uninstall and delete all data?

Right-click the extension icon β†’ Remove from Chrome. That clears all locally stored subscriptions. If you opted into reminders, contact privacy@pandaentry.com to delete the synced renewal dates and labels.

Does it support multiple currencies?

Yes β€” capture the price in whatever currency the merchant charges. The monthly roll-up shows the original currency next to the amount.
